8 of Cups & 3 Of Swords RX Move on and Leave the pain behind you

Published December 19, 2016 by starsmoonandsun

I did a reading for myself today that resonated with me on a soul level

I have started to study tarot more in depth lately and am eager to offer more tarot readings on my Etsy shop sometime in February.

These metaphysical  studies seem to take on a mind of their own you learn astrology next you go to tarot and Reiki and crystal healing and on and on and on I suppose that is the natural evolution; you grow and expand.

The way I started reading angel cards came to me during a mediation session, give angel readings I was instructed. I didn’t even know what angel readings were.

I actually received my first tarot deck when I was about 15 I still have it The metaphysical always interested me now I am just studying with more dedication

This morning I consulted tarot and asked two questions

What do I need?

8 of Cups was the card I pulled

8-of-cups-tarot

This is always a clear indication: Move on

You need to move on, period. 8 of cups indicates the need to sober up.  The word sober to me isn’t just about abstaining from alcohol it’s also being of a sober mind and having clarity.

The 8 of cups is indicating that you are leaving something or someone behind that is NOT emotionally fulfilling and walking toward something greater something that offers the promise of emotional fulfillment. This isn’t a happy card, it is with a quiet resignation we carry on but nevertheless we must. You can see the person is hunched over even the crescent moon is adorned with a sad face but just as the moon goes through phases so do we and once again we will find ourselves full. That is the  message in the 8 of cups.

The 7 of cups (the preceding card) offered the dreams, the illusion and escape I wrote about that card here 7 of Cups and Neptune in Synastry

7-of-cups

But they didn’t quite live up to the promise or allure they projected. The 7 of cups in Thoth is called Debauch it represents yes the excess of sensual pleasures as well as drinking and eating. According to Dictionary.com Debauch also means to “seduce” and that’s what the 7 of cups does it lures you in, it says look at all I have to offer.

And after we feast and dreamt and drank we arrive at the 8 of cups which is sometimes called the morning after Diane Ross Love Hangover comes to mind. At the 8 we are faced with a sober mind the realization the dream couldn’t manifest into reality so we must move on.

And we journey toward the 9 of cups Lord of Happiness (according to thoth)

9-of-cups

We must master the lesson that happiness can only be found within ourselves –that is what the lone man signifies to me at least when well dignified- We must give up our illusions and not put our hopes in false prophets (7 of Cups) so to say. And after we have mastered the love of self we can go on to the 10 of cups which symbolizes happiness with others.

What do I need I received the 8 of cups

What should I do? I received the 3 of swords reversed these are the 2 saddest cards in my opinion combined with 5 of cups ( God I never want to see that; Lord of Disappointment)

Three of Swords is called the Lord of Sorrow

A quote came to mind looking at this in the reverse “let the dead leaves drop”

Let the swords fall; let the pain go, let yourself heal

It signifies you took the hit, you felt the pain and now you must let it go. Let the swords fall, let the healing take place

3-of-swords

3 of swords reversed can also indicate a need to stop replaying the pain over and over again in our mind. “To heal a wound we must stop touching it” Often people hurt us once but we make a choice to relive that sorrow again and again. We need to gain control of our mind of our thoughts, stop reliving past hurts “let the dead leaves drop” “stop watering dead plants”

I encourage everyone to have the courage to let go of attachments that are unhealthy and not emotionally satisfying. Walk in faith 8 of cups style towards a fuller more satisfying future and leave the sorrow of the 3 of swords behind. I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes by Iyanla Vanzant iyanla-vanzant

Neptune in Synastry A Perfect Illusion

Published September 28, 2016 by starsmoonandsun

Neptune in synastry is a dream; Neptune rules illusions, deceit, con-artists, drug addicts, the victim and the savior.

Neptune corresponds with several Tarot cards one of them being the 7 of cups.

The 7 of cups looks like it has all these wonderful options all these cups are calling you; enticing you with promises of dream fulfilled. All you ever wanted, all you could ever dream of are right before you.

When you see the 7 of cups in a Tarot reading it foretells that A. everything is not what it seems, B. the person you are inquiring about may have addiction issues or C. (in a romance reading) they may have several options and are playing the field.

I have been thinking about Neptune in synastry lately mostly when I hear Lady Gaga’s New Song “Perfect Illusion”

I don’t need eyes to see
I felt you touchin’ me
High like amphetamine
Maybe you’re just a dream
That’s what it means to crush
Now that I’m wakin’ up
I still feel the blow
But at least now I knowIt wasn’t love, it wasn’t love
It was a perfect illusion (perfect illusion)
Mistaken for love, it wasn’t love
It was a perfect illusion (perfect illusion)

Gaga has a pretty hefty Neptune in her natal chart this is what makes her creative but with Neptune also squaring her sun she has to watch for the tendency to pick up men (sun) that have addiction issues or that she sees through this Neptunian filter.

They say nothing brings greater disappointment in love then heavy Neptune in synastry, the dream perhaps never meets the reality.

(According to Abrhahm Hicks disappointment is taking score too soon. I love that)

Projection is very likely in Neptunian theme relationships, particularly with personal planets opposing Neptune you project your desires, hopes and wishes on to the Neptunian person. But people are people and it is hard for them to live up to ideals. If you place any one person on a pedestal it is only a matter of time before they fall.

It is a lot to live up too; being someone’s dream. I have been called a dream and have viewed others as my dream.  It is an impossibility really. Neptune will have you telepathically communicating, walking through portals in between worlds, it feels otherworldly not of this realm and that why perhaps Neptunian theme relationships aren’t meant to last this world is simply too harsh. I don’t think that it is the Neptune person that is always deceiving us perhaps as much as we deceive ourselves. Yearning to escape a world of mundane, drift away on puffy clouds when the cold real world (Saturn) is just too much to take.
