The Astrology of Reclusive Celebrities

I happen to be thinking of Eminem the other day I’m not sure why maybe because his new song Monster was on the radio. I like him, my go to Karaoke song is “I’m whatever you say I’m”. I get him; that feeling of living under a microscope people wanting to define you, wanting to shove you in a box and label you. Some woman at work once yelled at me. “I know who you are. I know all about you”. I had to laugh wow, really, you do I assure you know nothing about me. I’m accustomed to people watching me, concerned with me & what I do when I quite frankly don’t care what anyone does. I have Neptune conjunct my Midheaven there is that twinge of glamour but the price to pay is high. The 10th house is the highest point in the chart it can be the filter through which the world sees you, it represents your ambition, your contribution to the world if you will. I’ve suffered false accusations on things I wouldn’t dare write about, people have always judged me attempt to label me, don’t see me clearly I feel that I live my tiny life through a magnifying glass I can’t imagine how that feels on a grand scale being a celebrity. The Kim Kardashians of the world, don’t interest me. I don’t watch gossip shows E or whatever. I will read a gossip magazine if someone gave it to me, but I certainly wouldn’t purchase one. I don’t understand people that approach celebrities or want autographs. I think this stems from my Pluto in the 8th house squaring my Sun in the 5th. I get the need for privacy. The sun is the ego the 5th is the house of creativity so sure I write here, I tweet, I act in my free time, I’m outgoing by all appearances but once you get to know me you will find I like to spend a crazy amounts of time alone I act not for fame but to be surrounded by interesting eccentric types. That is how I give of myself, here on this blog but I’m not the type of person whose house you will drop by uninvited, I live in an apartment with 24 hour security. I chose how I want to share; whom I share with. I can’t imagine how it is celebrities that are like me… exist. I mean I just have to fend off nosy neighbors not the entire world, not fans, paparazzi and the media. I Googled Eminem after he popped into mind and was unable to find much about his present day life. He may be engaged he may not be and there is the speculation of his affiliation with the illuminati…but then again the nosy lady down the hall from me thinks I’m a prostitute because I work nights ha ha. Eminem has a stellium in the 9th house. See here courtesy of astrotheme.com

eminem

And while the sun and Pluto do not directly connect all of those planets come from the same house, so they are all filtered through one another, they act as one. The Sun in the 10th house is a very public position, it declares “here I’m” put that with Pluto planet of control and secrecy along with the Sun whether it is opposition, conjunction, square or coming out of the same house acting in unison; you will want to have some if not complete control over the way you share yourself generally speaking. Perhaps not always-Pluto also rules prostitution, Guess that explains Kim Kardashians Sun conjunct Pluto in the 10th house. Selling sex as a career. I think she is the anomaly for this however. I tried to think of other extremely private celebrities but I couldn’t think of any other than Johnny Carson (Moon opposite Pluto) so I googled it and found Time Magazine had released a list
J.D. Salinger
Howard Hughes
Greta Garbo
Harper Lee
Emily Dickinson
Syd Barrett
Bill Watterson
Thomas Pynchon
Dave Chappelle
Marcel Prous
You can read the full article here

Over half the people on the list had Pluto opposite moon or Pluto on the Sun via Square or opposition
Pluto represents
Darkness, secrecy, control, privacy, death, rebirth, probing, destruction, annihilation, the underworld, things that are buried, hidden, taboo, power, survival, security, paranoia, excess
Sun Represents
Some what the opposite of Pluto, life, light, ego, energy, identity, creative expression
When Pluto is on the Sun a person oscillates between being all out shining brightly and then hiding. The need to express itself via whatever outlet the house the sun is in and hiding away from the world.
Moon Represents
Our emotional responses, the past, safety, our needs, fluctuation, instinct
When Pluto is on the moon it is said that people want to control what people know about them. I do see that as being entirely true. As a person with Pluto on my Sun and Moon I think it is more of a case of not wanting others to stir up our emotions, our joys and our anger, we feel everything deep. And our perception is spot on. I often say we know the end before it begins. So it isn’t that we want to control what people know we often just want to protect ourselves from the intensity of our feelings. Being well aware that allowing people into our inner worlds also gives them access and opportunity to stir up emotions in us we would rather keep buried.

Venus is Synastry Light and Fluffy coming right up

Venus is astrology is light, it is love, enjoyment, recreation, beauty by aspect in synastry (comparison of 2 charts) it can indicate similar values; for instance Venus in pleasing aspect such as the sextile, trine or conjunct someone else’s Venus; you will appreciate the same leisurely activities, you will probably be on the same page regarding finances and there will be a natural affinity toward one another. I met someone recently, I like them and there is a general feeling of friendship that exists between the two of us. I find it to be an easy connection. There are other factors I’m waiting to kick in like his Saturn in exact square to my Sun and opposite my moon.Textbook indication is he is cold-ish ( I think he is just not as expressive), Saturn is cold and although we have heavy Pluto ties (so very typical of my life) I do get the feeling that I can’t plunge the depths of him emotionally. Then again that isn’t the nature of our connection. No two connections are alike I suppose. Venus can be superficial it isn’t probing like Pluto I never really considered a light kind of love before, ya know love and sex are these transformational experiences for me with Pluto opposite my moon and squaring my sun in the 5th house. There is often that part of me that goes from being extremely light in temperament to very dark; I’m either all in or all out. I recognize the potential for transformation that exists with his Pluto on all of my personal planets and tread lightly knowing my Pluto is squaring his Venus, love and friendship can take a turn for the worse with this aspect but generally I find being with him to be enjoyable. When I leave him I’m often on that rocket ship high, I can’t sleep I’m so infused with positive energy. It is so strange. It is so very different. My plutonic love was the opposite, the dichotomy between light (Venus) and dark (Pluto) fascinates me; upon leaving him I would need to sleep for days. I would often complain I felt heavy and tired. There were often tears and sad music. My moon conjunct his Venus which is a beautiful aspect but not enough to negate all that darkness after all my Pluto conjunct his moon in Libra. Our connection was not normal, I will always look back on him with great sadness and the acknowledgement that our connection changed my life, altered my existence. I respect that, I own it and I like to say for all the craziness: I forgive you but I would never want to relive you. We didn’t fully like each other as people I know that sounds crazy and I often wonder how can you love someone you don’t even like as a person, I guess you can’t so here I’m Venus ahh now that connection is different. People always ask; “I’m the Venus person who feels it more”. I can only tell you my experience I was the Pluto person that had my life turned upside down and now I’m the Venus person; my Venus aspects my male friend’s entire chart. I feel nothing but light toward him, he makes me feel light. I can’t attest to the way he experiences me. I can’t attest to the way Mr. Plutonic Love received me. But I can tell you each energy is special in its own right. Light and Fluffy or Dark and Murky Guess it just depends what you are in the mood for.
Some aspects I’m experiencing with my friend

His Venus is in Cancer, My Sun is in Cancer: General sense of being in sync, simpatico you get one another, supposedly good for shared resources.
My Venus squares his moon; affection and harmony though the moon person may have ties to another woman (he is married so…and yes we are just friends)
My Venus sextiles his Mercury: I love this aspect, we also have sun conjunct mercury and mercury conjunct mercury fabulous for mental connections: General affection, shared dreams, according to Linda Goodman book Relationship Signs the only negative is “exaggerated optimism” oh how very dreadful. Like I said I’m on a rocket ship
Venus sextile Venus
Mutual sympathy, you like the same things, similar interests generally speaking

Venus opposite Uranus;
I try to avoid this in relationships but being we are friends I suppose it doesn’t make a difference. When your Venus opposes someone’s Uranus they often take off and need alone time or need their own space. They leave, to me that is my worst fear. Like where did you go? I have read you will see this in a one night stand the coming together and falling apart. It can also mean the Uranus person brings unusual activities to the Venus person getting them to do things they normally wouldn’t do sexually and otherwise. Something unusual exists there.

Let me know; have you been Venus or Pluto?

Neptune Retrograde; Your not like the others futuristic lover

With Neptune in retrograde motion for the next 6 months and squaring my Venus I thought this would be an opportune time to write about Neptunian love affairs. I tweeted the other day if you have ever found yourself whispering “I need you” to a completely unavailable person then you undoubtedly have experienced Neptune on your Moon, Venus, Mars or Sun. Its alluring, hypnotic with a come hither vibe that whispers sweet nothings that sounds like somethings in your ear. Touch becomes otherworldly,

Like in the song by Katy Perry;

They say you’re not like the others, futuristic lover. Different DNA They don’t understand you

You’re from a whole other world. A different dimension. You open my eyes and I’m ready to go now lead me into the light.

Neptune will have you walking between worlds, the one based in reality with the tangible touch and another dimension that you can’t grasp with your hand but you know it is there. Or is it? In 2009 Neptune began to loosely square my Venus and became almost exact in the summer of 2011, when the veil was lifted and I was served a hard dose of reality. I have written about him so much quite frankly I could throw up, he is the reason I started this blog, he is my muse I suppose and though I could not feel further from him; he is a frame of reference for a lot of my astrological posts, he is my plutonic love. In Synastry or the comparison of 2 charts my Pluto aspected his entire chart, so that brought life changes, obsessions, upheavals, death and rebirth and while that was our combined energy I also had a Neptunian transit, the belief that everything was going to work out, that magically POOF! I would end up with him. Neptune = delusion. And the delusion came to a head and the veil fell on the day he booked his wedding at my place of employment. I don’t care to relive the past, I much prefer to sweep in under the carpet and leave it as some dust that has settled in that you can’t be bothered to clean up. But I want you to see how transits work; there is this experience occurring and then once the planets become exact there is an explosion, a truth, a change that occurs, a beginning or an ending. How that manifests is deeply personal for everyone. Surely no one on the face of the planet has had a fling with someone and then had that person come to your place of employment on their wedding day. Flash Forward present day; Neptune is working its way backward over my Venus yet again. Neptune is slow. Whereas the Sun changes sign roughly every 30 days Neptune will remain in Pisces until 2025! That’s a long time to live in lala land, a long time to walk between portals of what is real and what isn’t. But as with all retrograde periods life gives you a chance for a redo. Not with the same person, but perhaps with the same test. And maybe this time the ability to get it right. Fingers crossed. I don’t check my natal chart every day I live my life and as the saying goes I do believe life is meant to be lived forward but understood backward. The interesting thing about astrology is once you are familiar with a transit you can recognize it when you experience it again. Recently I have met someone I find extremely fascinating, like WOW similar to my 2009 plutonic love we don’t have a damn thing in common. He is unattainable but every word that he speaks is so utterly interesting. Retrograde planets: Hmm I have been here before. And when he said “I think you are amazing” and I said no no I think you are amazing. I knew I was in the midst of another Neptunian transit. Neptune is rolling over my Venus. I’ve placed 2 toothpicks in my eyes to make sure they remain open, consciously remain aware of what is not what I hope life to be. That is key in the midst of a Neptunian transit you should deal with facts and tangible realities. I’m not saying every part of a Neptune transit is heartbreaking I mean there is so much beauty to be found in unrequited love. Neptune on Venus is what poetry and sonnets are made of, and I don’t know if I have ever felt more alive or blindly hopeful as I do when Neptune is aspecting one of my personal planets.

The Facts:

Neptune travels backward through the zodiac for roughly 5 to 6 months. Neptune in Pisces will affect most profoundly those with planets from 1 – 7 degrees of mutable signs. So look to see if you have Moon, Mercury, Sun, Venus and Mars in 1-7 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces. That’s where you will experience the allure and hypnotic energy of Neptune. Retrograde periods are a time of do over’s, they are for reflecting, looking back, perhaps revisiting old haunts. It is often a time when a theme in your life from the past resurfaces, I like to think of retrograde periods as: a second time to get it right.

The feeling:

I have never felt this way before, I need you, I want to curl up inside of you because a breath between us is too much, your beautiful, you are perfect (that has to be the worst) I have to have you, your touch is transcendental, Can we run away together, walking on the moon, looking at the stars, I know you just told me you are _____________(fill in the blank) married? Jobless? A priest? But I love you and have to have you anyway

What to remember:

It is very easy for all of us to play the victim, oh poor me. I didn’t see it I didn’t know it etc. it sucks yes but we have to take responsibility for our own poor choices no matter how painful. In the very Neptunian; Great Gatsby Scott F Fitzgerald said: “It takes two to make an accident”

it takes 2 to make an accident</a

People have the right to select a life they believe will make them happy even if they have decided that life isn’t with you:
I believe Oprah and Iylanya said it best on Oprahs Life Class when they said:

You don’t get a vote in someone else’s life

On the days I become upset I have a picture in my phone of a quote I heard on the Oprah show Super Soul Sunday It one of my all time favorites:
Super Soul Sunday

A lot of times under a Neptunian transit there is a self sacrificial theme. I would have given up anything to be with my plutonic love. We exist worlds apart, he is very suburban think Mercedes Minivan and those family stick figures on the back windshield and I m very city-ish, I like to act, write, and hang out with gay men. I keep this in my phone as a reminder that his dreams were not my own and vise versa.

What to do:

Write, sing, and learn how to play an instrument, do not commit to anything until this transit passes in a few months, and guard your heart, your soul and your hot pocket. And when all else fails pour a glass (ONE glass Neptune also rules addiction) of wine and turn up the music. I’ll leave you with a lovely Neptunian song.

strange and beautiful

Aspects in Astrology

It isn’t enough to know what planets fall in each of the 12 houses; you also need to look at how they interact with one another. Do they provide an easy flow and are in harmony with one another or are they a source of tension? Aspects are the angular relationships between points on a chart. You can view them on your own natal chart or when looking at the 2 individual natal charts too see how the planets will interact with one another; this form of astrological study in known as synastry. In short it shows the overall compatibility between 2 individuals.

Allow me to quickly review the aspects bearing in mind each sign has 30 degrees
Lets begin with the conjunction, it is most visible when 2 planets or house cusps are in the same sign working together. As you can see my sun (the ego) and mercury (communication, learning,) are conjunct (in the same sign) of Cancer. You would come to the conclusion that being that mercury is one of the faster planets and my sun is brightly shining on it I make a connections efforlesly, am a great public speaker & I enjoy talking. Conjunctions share the same approach, but it is important to see the 2 heavenly bodies that are forming this aspect. In synastry if someones mercury is conjuncting your sun, you will love speaking with one another and sharing ideas. However not all conjunctions are wonderful, for instance if you moon (feelings) conjunct your own or another persons Saturn (restriction) Ewwww! Sober feelings and heaviness…

The angular houses are considered to be the most important in the natal chart if your personal planet (Sun, Moon, Mars, Venus) conjunct an angle in another persons chart this relationship for better or worse is fated. A planet can also conjunct one of your angles. My Neptune (planet of dreams, spirituality & escape) conjuncts my 10th house cusp (career & social standing) this indicates I chose a career outside of the norm. A lot of psychics have this placement and I find it too funny although non coincidental that I love astrology!

Next up is the opposition. Unlike the conjunction an oppositions are not in harmony they occur with opposing signs (Aries/ Libra Taurus /Scorpio etc). They are coming from 2 different view points and you are always striving for balance between 2 energies. For instance I have moon (feelings, the past) in Aries and Pluto(death, transformation, control, & psychoanalysis) in Libra. Aries and Libra are opposite one another in the zodiac. Aries is a ME FIRST sign and Libra strives for balance (the scales) Anything involving Pluto is deep…heavy life changing. Having a Moon opposite Pluto is difficult because you want to love, are filled with all of this emotion but at the same time you want to control everything. I don’t know how to let things just be, I’m always digging, looking searching. I can tell you when I meet someone I know the end before it even begins. This is not for light love. Anytime Pluto touches a personal planet nothing is ever light. In synastry when your moon opposes another persons Pluto it would indicate a lot of emotional power struggles and depending on the individuals involved the “moon person” may run like hell from the Pluto person. The Pluto person will see thru them, right down to the core and not everyone is looking for a transformational type of love. In oppositions you need to look at the planets and signs involved and see how they operate and opposing one another.

Next up are trines!(think Triangle) Trine Trine Trine even the word is nice! Trines happen in the same element; (fire signs will trine one another ex. Leo trine Aries. Water signs trine each other ex. Cancer and Scorpio). They are the easiest aspect; the flow of energy is effortless. We do not have to work on these energies, we are born with them. (keeping in mind the planets involved). I have a natal Sun (ego) trine Uranus (unexpected & eccentric) this would tell you I’m very liberal I was born different and being that it is a trine I’m ok with that. I also have Venus (love & beauty) trine Pluto (transformation & depth) where as Pluto can at times be hard to deal with when it trines Venus it is an easy free flowing aspect. It indicates I have a very romantic nature, I believe in love at first sight and because Pluto operates on a deep level seeing through things…I will know the “one when” I see him. (fingers crossed)

The square occurs between 2 aspects in the same mode (Cardinal, fixed or mutable) but in different element (air, fire, water, earth). The square is a hard aspect scratch that it is the hardest aspect. Squares represent friction. Where an opposition is about trying to find balance it’s like a tug of war the square is more stable stuck in its ways, less reluctant to change. It is the 2nd most powerful aspect after the conjunction. These 2 energies do NOT blend together, they represent conflict and stress I have a Cardinal T-square in my chart Ahhhh! The positive side of the square aspect is you have to work to achieve; to get over these barriers and hurdles. My most notable square is Sun (ego) in Cancer square Moon (feelings) in Aries. Cancer is a cardinal water sign and Aries is a cardinal fire sign Water puts out fire…they do not blend. Cancer is all about nurturing and tending to other individuals while Aries is all about fufilling your own needs. You can not simoutenously do this. In astrology The moon represents the woman and the sun represents the masculine energy, it is of popular opinion that the aspects between your moon and sun are indicative of your parents relationship at the time you were born. Can you say TENSION?! that which was than inturn transferred to me. My Sun (your ego your identity) is at odds with my moon moon (inner self, your emotions). They are separate, my wants and my needs are at odds. In synastry you definitely want sun and moon contacts and if you are into wedding date astrology you want the sun and moon aspecting one another! They represent the husband and wife. Preferably with an easier aspect such as the trine. When one persons Sun (ego) squares another persons Moon (feelings) it would imply the moon person will often feel second to the sun. Speaking from personal experience, the sun person is the ego so they are in theory shining, but the sun is all about the sun or it would appear that way to the moon person. The moon person always feels second-this is one aspect of many in synastry-but a hard one. Friction is a definite though a high barometer of attraction is likely.

Sextiles occur in every other sign they are 60 degrees apart (Aries and Gemini (skips Taurus) sextile one another. Taurus and Cancer sextile one another skip Gemini) Water signs sextile earth signs and air signs sextile fire signs. I always like to think of compatibility like this water nourishes earth and earth absorbs water. Fire fuels on air and air fuels fire. Sextiles are not as strong as trines still they represent positive energy working harmoniously together. I have mars (in Taurus) sextile mercury in Cancer (water nourishes earth). Being that Mars is my drive and how we go about getting what we want and Mercury is communication and learning they are working together this means I have a thirst for knowledge. I want to get to the bottom of things, I’m outgoing and communicative
