Uranus Transits; Time to Fly

I decided to write a short post on Uranus transits. I hardly mention them perhaps because I have Aquarius rising. My chart ruler Uranus is placed in the 8th house. My first word as a baby wasn’t Mommy or Daddy; it was bird. I like to think I was born free. Not that, that hasn’t come with a price. Everything does. My life journey is a transformative one. I do not adhere to social norms. I like to say I am not bound by time or convention. I’ve met more than one person bothered by this; my need to be free and my inability to conform or adhere to any set of rules or societal structure.

I can’t recall a time Uranus transited a personal planet in my Natal Chart though for many years it made its way through my 1st house, my appearance often fluctuating from blonde to brunette oh fuck I’ll take a bob. People that knew me prior to that transit would say I am not at all the same; “you even sound different”. Uranus transits to the first house can totally change your outward appearance. But with Uranus now conjunct my Moon & squaring my Sun I feel the need to be liberated. I need to be free; from what I’m not exactly sure. I’m not tied permanently to anyone or anything. I feel the underbelly of this transit I feel its undercurrent. Some days I run; just run through the street with a desire to take off. I want to fly. Mind you I have a fear of heights. But Uranus rules birds and things with wings even airplanes.

I took a class on Uranus transits yesterday the astrologer said Uranus transits have you desiring that birds- eye view of the world. For astrologers they are the hardest transits to predict for along with Eclipses. They are the astrological wildcards. They bring awareness, adventure, the things you never see coming, these are the “woke” transits, the ah-ha moments, the flashes of brilliance and doing things you never thought you would do. Uranus rearranges you. I confided how I feel oddly more alive, how I want to zip line through Costa Rica & go to surf camp even thought I can’t swim.

My instructed pointed out the inclination or desire to walk on air “go skiing, ice skate or roller-blade”, he suggested . Personally some of the best skiers I know have Uranus in hard aspect to their Sun in the Natal Chart. He went on to further say, the keywords for Uranus often are made up with the word “vol” revolt, volatile, volunteer le vol in French apparently means to fly. Uranus breaks habits, breaks up marriages; it awakens you, delivers ah ha moments and sets you free. What’s going on with Uranus in your chart? Do you feel more alive? Are you longing to fly?
