Understanding Jupiter’s Transits and Their Impact

♃ Jupiter in astrology is considered the great benefic, with that being said, if you follow me for a long time on social media you will know I find Jupiter to be the most overrated planet in astrology. Very seldom does a Jupiter transit bring the BIG wins and sweeping positive changes people expect or are led to believe will occur. If something monumental is going down and you are experiencing a Jupiter transit usually it coincides with another positive planetary transit. Part of the reason for this is Jupiter is a quick moving transit- it will aspect a planet via transit for only a few days before moving on unlike the other outer planets that can make aspects for a month or on and off for years if your natal planet is being impacted by a retrograde degree. Jupiter simply does not carry that much weight or pack that much punch. With this being said a well-placed and well aspected Jupiter in the natal chart is a blessing as is a well-placed Jupiter in synastry and I personally do love to see Jupiter transiting an angular house (1st, 4th, 7th and especially the 10th) as well as a Jupiter Return. Just make sure to level your expectations and check for other more powerful transits happening simultaneously.

Positive Jupiter Energy

Jupiter Governs good luck, growth, expansion, ease, prosperity, success, optimism & abundance. It is associated with the sign of Sagittarius and the ninth house which governs long distance, travel, and higher education. Justice (law) and philosophical pursuits

Shadow Jupiter Energy

Jupiter has a shadow side like every planet Jupiter’s shadow side can involve excess, self-righteousness and laziness. A lot of times someone with a heavy Jupiter can be a person with a lot of ideas and zero application. They can be full of “one day” and “some days” …

Jupiter Transiting the Natal Houses

The first house is all about YOU! The way you look and how YOU are perceived.

Jupiter transiting the first house is a major weight gain Transit be aware of this. Sometimes this is due to pregnancy, but I would need to see other Transits to confirm that. You may experience enhanced self-esteem during this transit; you are likely to release fear and be more apt to taking risks. Opportunities may flow to you easily now tap into your manifestation capabilities.

The Second house governs worth- tangible worth and self-worth. This is also home to how we make and spend money as well as what we own.

Jupiter transiting the second is a great Transit for manifesting wealth, but it comes in and just as easily it goes out. Try to do your best with saving and not spending in excess. Jupiter is known for making things easy and money comes easy to you when you have Jupiter Transiting the second house. The second house also has to do with our self-esteem so you may feel better about yourself when Jupiter Transits the first and the second. This may a time period where you make big purchases, experience an enhanced lifestyle or receive a raise at work.

The third house governs short trips, siblings, transportation, educational programs.

(certifications) and communication.

Jupiter transiting the third house can heal sibling relationships, you can grow and expand while you are traveling- trips may be life changing. This is an excellent time to teach or attend classes and workshops. If you want to launch a blog or a Substack this is the time. This transit can also open your mind to new concepts, and it is quite possible to purchase a new vehicle – just do not overspend.

The fourth house governs real estate, your home and living situation, family relationships as well as your inner world- the way in which you are feeling.

Jupiter transiting the fourth house can improve relationships with family. This can also be one where you are renovating your home or maybe you’re buying a new home or perhaps that awful roommate moves out of your place. Good luck is tied to home and family life. It also can suggest the expansion of your family or the expansion of your home so leveling up. If nothing happens physically or externally it can be internally feeling positive and spiritually intune.

The fifth house in astrology governs the children we birth, our ego, creativity, our identity, dating, self- expression, sports and gambling.

Jupiter transiting the 5th house can improve our relationship with our children, enhance our creative side, bring in more opportunities for love and dating and encourage us to take chances. It is is a feel good transit that also nourishes your inner child and helps you get in touch with joy and pleasure.

*I will be honest Jupiter transiting the fifth is not one of my pregnancy transits. I rarely see it but I think it’s strongly depends on what you have in your natal chart 5th house- if you have the moon in the fifth house Jupiter transiting your moon in the fifth could suggest pregnancy you need to really look at everything when we are talking about pregnancy most importantly transit to the moon

The sixth house governs work- your day-to-day grind, your coworkers as well as your health and daily routines.

Jupiter transiting the sixth can go either way sometimes I see people that have to much work on their plate. Jupiter governs excess so sometimes during this transit someone quits your company and now you’re doing the job of two people. In its positive manifestation Jupiter through the sixth can suggest a new employment opportunity, improved working conditions as well as suggest working in legal or travel fields. If you have not been feeling well Jupiter transiting the 6th can bring healing and improved health.

The seventh house governs “other people” most often marriage and business partners. The 7th house along with the 9th is also connected to legal issues and lawsuits.

Jupiter through the seventh I rarely see for marriage unless someone has a transit to Venus or this is their Jupiter return so, please don’t believe the hype -the entire chart must be considered. Jupiter through the seventh for certain people can bring marriage if their chart is dignified in the relationship department. This transit can suggest positive relations with people in general. If you work with clients this can signify the expansion of your clientele. This also can suggest connecting with people that live at a distance from you. Also, you may meet people that are beneficial to you in come regard if not in the moment later in time.  If undergoing a lawsuit it may end in your favor- consider the 9th house condition as well.

The eight houses in astrology governs inheritances, other people’s money so spouses income, inheritances and creditors. The 8th house is also associated with “the occult” deep soul connections and sex.

Jupiter transiting the 8th house can sometimes result in inheritances, good luck with loans, your spouse or business partner, comes into some money but in the shadow, it can suggest racking up debts so watch what you’re doing with your credit cards. It can suggest your transitions and life changes have a sense of ease about them. This is the house of the occult cult, so maybe you are expanding your knowledge on Tarot etc. Your sex life may also be quite expansive or experience an improvement with this transit.

The ninth house in astrology is associated with long distance travel, publishing, higher education, legalities, and international affairs.

Jupiter is at home in the ninth house – it thrives here -we must look at everything, but this can constitute good luck with a lawsuit. We also want to check the seventh house though. Jupiter in the ninth can suggest returning to school or finishing school or even getting a novel published. You may want to learn a second language at this time or take a job as an educator. This can be a great time for travelling. these are also trips that change your life and expand your consciousness.

The tenth house in astrology is associated with your career, goals, what you are known for and where you are headed in life.

Jupiter through the 10th I absolutely like as a Transit but we have to look at what’s happening in your sixth house for instance a lot of people in 2025 that have Cancer on the 10th house cusp also have Pisces on the sixth house cusp so this means Jupiter may be in their 10th and Saturn may be in the sixth. This is a problem -anybody with this configuration is not getting the maximum benefit of Jupiter transiting the 10th.

But as a standalone Jupiter in the 10th can suggest leveling up, growth and expansion regarding your career. If you want a new job, now is the time. If you want a promotion now is the time Jupiter through the 10th can also suggest you are getting recognized for something that you do. This can be an award and recognition transit. It is not the time to play small when it comes to your career and your ambitions.

The eleventh house in astrology is traditionally referred to as like-minded friends, hope and wishes. It is here we find friends and network opportunities. The eleventh house also has a lot to do with goals; we do not usually mention this, but it works in unison with the 10th house.

Jupiter through the 11th house can expand your social circle. You’re connecting to people via groups, this can be people with the same or similar political affiliations, people through work or educational interests- now is the time to socialize and network. This is a great Transit from making connections with people that can help you with your dreams!! Join the book club, attend the New Moon class put yourself out there.

The twelfth house in astrology is home to secret enemies, hospitals, dreams, the unconscious mind, and endings.

Jupiter through the 12th house is the guardian angel Transit- things are not necessarily manifesting outwardly -it usually signifies unforeseen forces have your back. You have got this no matter how it seems. This is the Transit for spiritual protection, deepening your spiritual practice and perhaps retreating away from the world and focus on your healing.
